#Mocap or #MotionCapture suits, such as #RokokoSmartsuit have been around for a while now, and have been regarded as a cost-effective alternative to the conventional optical marker-based technology. Having worked with one for the past 4 years, I wanted to see if I could set up a "mobile" mocap recording session.
To do this, I used only batteries to power my wireless router, mocap suit and laptop. Then, a quick setup and capture all under 45mins! It's not recommended to capture #animation this way, especially in the tropics, but I wanted to demonstrate how easy it was to set up, even by one person, and you could do it anywhere.
All in all, it was a fun weekend project. Great to be in front of the ocean, and getting a little practice. Made me wish my #Sifu was back in Singapore to smack me into shape.
